Course Overview
This course equips you to deliver training and assessment in the vocational education and training (VET) sector or provide accredited training in the workplace.
Upon completion, you will have developed skills in conducting competency-based assessments, creating learning programs based on national training packages, delivering engaging presentations, training individuals and groups in workplace settings, and addressing language, literacy, and numeracy needs of learners.
Important: This qualification allows you to teach for a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) or in a workplace environment. It does not qualify you to teach at a university or as a teacher in primary or secondary schools.

Entry Requirements
Applicants should have literacy skills equivalent to Year 11 or Year 12, or Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) Level 4, and numeracy skills at Year 11 or Year 12 level, or ACSF Level 3.
You must also demonstrate vocational competency in the area you intend to teach and assess. Vocational competency refers to a broad understanding and experience within the industry, which may include holding relevant qualifications or units of competency.
Pre-Training Review
As part of your application process, you are required to complete a pre-training review. This review helps our trainers assess your current skills and match you with the right program.
Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN)
Your literacy and numeracy skills will be evaluated, and you may need to undertake a separate assessment.

Course Requirements
Students are expected to engage in independent study and assessments outside of the 10 day workshop. This self-paced study will be supported through our Learner Management System, where students can access materials at their convenience and receive assistance from trainers and assessors via additional online sessions, email or telephone. In addition, certain units will require assessments in simulated workplace environments. These simulations replicate real-life working conditions, complete with the necessary equipment, interactions with students/volunteers, and the dynamic conditions of an actual work setting. One unit of the course includes a face to face practical First Aid course of approx. 4 hours duration.
Course Duration
Students will participate in 10 days of virtual online training, delivered in two seperate week blocks and self paced thereafter. All students will have up to 18 months to complete the course from their enrolment.
