RSA TRAINING COURSE STRUCTURE

Our most popular & Nationally Recognised RSA Aid Training Course is completed through a combination of Face to Face learning and an online learning component that you can complete in the comfort of your own home prior to the class.

The practical component is completed at one of our locations spread across Melbourne and you will learn from our highly qualified team of RSA trainers.

– Complete a workbook prior to your RSA Course
– Students MUST be at least 18 years old to complete this course

On successful completion of this RSA Training Course you will receive a Statement of Attainment; SITHFAB021 Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) issued by Start Training.

Our RSA Training is conducted at our all four of our main facilities located at Ferntree Gully, Sunshine West, Campbellfield and Carrum Downs. During your training course you will have access to our full facilities including free fresh coffee, a selection of free refreshments and access to vending machines.

We conduct RSA Training at our Ferntree Gully, Carrum Downs, Campbellfield and Sunshine West training centres.

Our Ferntree Gully facility is located at Unit 3, 1825 Ferntree Gully Road, VIC. You can find our building behind Burdens Plumbtec (the large blue building). We conduct Forklift, Order Picker, Working at Heights, Elevated Work Platform and White Card courses at our Ferntree Gully facility.

Our Sunshine West training centre is located at 16 Enterprise Way, Sunshine West and we also conduct Working at Heights, Confined Space, Elevated Work Platform, White Card and Yellow Card courses at our Sunshine West training centre.

Our Carrum Downs training centre is located at 8 Sonia Street, Carrum Downs and we also conduct Order Picker, Working at Heights, Elevated Work Platform, White Card and Yellow Card courses at our Carrum Downs training centre.

Our Campbellfield training centre is located at 2 The Crossway, Campbellfield and we also conduct Order Picker, Working at Heights, Elevated Work Platform, White Card and Yellow Card courses at our Campbellfield training centre.

A food truck visits Start Training’s Ferntree Gully Road facility every weekday (Monday to Friday) at 9.45am. This service offers a wide range of hot and cold food and snacks including sandwiches, pies, fruit, confectionery and drinks.

We have a student kitchen / cafe area with free fresh fruit, free fresh coffee and free biscuits. The kitchen area contains a large fridge, microwaves, toaster and a sandwich press that are free to be used by our students if they wish to bring their own food for the time they are with us.

We have vending machines located in our Ferntree Gully Road facility featuring a selection of drinks and snacks. The drinks vending machine serves Coca Cola, energy drinks and coffee milk amongst others and can accept coins, card (pay pass) and notes ($5 or $10 notes only). We also have a snack machine serving a variety of chips and confectionery which is coin operated only.

There are a number of shops and takeaways within a short distance of our Ferntree Gully facility including bakeries located at the Mountain Gate shopping centre, Red Rooster, On It Burgers, McDonalds, Subway and KFC. If you are unsure about their locations one of our friendly staff can direct you.

At our Sunshine West facility there is a cafe just 50 meters walk from our front door that sells a variety of fresh sandwiches, hot food and drinks at a very reasonable price. You are welcome to keep any food purchases on site within our kitchen facilities and make use of our fridges, kitechen benches and other applicances.

Generally our classes begin at 8.00am each day Monday through to Saturday. Some of our classes begin slightly earlier at 7.30am, you will be informed of your class start time via a booking confirmation and a confirmation SMS sent to you a few days prior to your class.

Yes, we offer ample breaks throughout the day. An initial break is provided at 9.45am at which time a food van visits our Ferntree Gully location. Lunch and other shorter regular breaks are provided throughout the day.

We provide all safety equipment necessary for your course including training props and materials. All you need to bring is a sturdy pair of shoes (no thongs please) and adequate clothing. Please note that during winter months the temperatures within our buildings and training areas can be low, please come with sufficient warm clothing on cold weather days.

Yes, once you have been booked in you will receive an e-mail with a workbook and other materials attached. The workbook should be completed prior to attending to ensure maximum time available for practical training. A hardcopy of the workbook and training materials can be provided on request and mailed out to you with sufficient notice.

I recently completed my EWP and Boom Lift training at Start Training, and I can't describe how great the course really was.Sean, your genuine care, patience and support was fantastic, everything that you explained was clear, well articulated and easy to understand.I was on the course by myself on the second day, and you were easy to connect with and your support was second to none. The practical and theory based assessments were straightforward to complete after I studied the theory beforehand and the way you described processes made completing these assessments at the end so much more comfortable.The facilities at the Ferntree Gully location were great, close by to shops and the facilities at the venue were clean and welcoming.Anyone who is looking at completing a related course, I would not consider any other training provider besides Start! Absolutely loved it.Kudos to my assessor Nate, he was very patient with me going very slow on the exam. Wish they didn't take much time to mark the knowledge exam though, but it is what it is.Practical training and the exam was one day apart so wish we had a bit more time before the exam to brush up. The knowledge exam required a bit of cramming to be done so make sure you have good memory and a good night's sleep before the exam. I forgot the name of my trainer on the first day but he was also a top bloke.One small area of improvement would be the coffee machine needs coffee pods and most of the milk in the fridge was 3 days expired. I notified the office and they got rid of it (still had more milk that wasn't expired so it's all good). Cheers ✌️😀
