TTM – Temporary Traffic Management (Short Term Low Impact) Course Melbourne

Course Overview

The Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) – Short Term Low Impact (STLI) Course is designed for workers who need to safely perform basic traffic management tasks on low-risk worksites across Victoria.

Note: This course is NOT SUITABLE for those working in, or intending to work in, traffic control roles, including using a stop/slow bat. Click HERE for our TC1/TMI1 Traffic Controller & Traffic Management Course.

Short Term Low Impact works are activities conducted without accredited traffic management personnel, using simplified Traffic Guidance Schemes where a site-specific risk assessment confirms that a full traffic control setup is not required.

These works are typically:

  • Short duration (often completed within a few hours)

  • Low risk to road users and workers

  • Mobile or changing locations

  • Completed without lane closures or stop/slow traffic control

  • This course is mandatory in Victoria from April 2025 for workers performing STLI activities.
